Unterwasser Visions is a monthly competition that runs from January to November each year. In June the theme was "Faces"
I submitted a close-up photo of the face of a small Norwegian topknot - Phrynorhombus norvegicus which turned out to do quite well, and the jury awarded it with a eight place. This is one of my favorite fishes in the Norwegian water, and it's sometimes difficult to photograph as it quite shy and tends to flee just as you approach it.
The jury said this about my picture (translated from German): "The image is brought to life thanks to the unusual symmetry of the face. Vibrant colors and a high angle of attack makes this a very eye-catching portrait."
